Kap's Corner As a dealer who loves to buy and sell items of antiquity, nostalgia, something different or unusual.

It has been a life, long dream of mine to buy and sell items that are from another time, or that are unusual, yet familiar reminders of days gone by. I carry items from linens to glassware, jewelry to pictures, from household trinkets to small furniture, collectibles and different oddities. Many of the pieces that I offer could be that one item to complete or compliment a room of yours, or a special corner of the house. They may even help you to start thinking of changing a design in your home, to give it a whole new look. You could even find that unusual Birthday/Anniversary/Christmas gift for that hard to find family member or friend. You can find my items at The Swamp Door, located at 2030 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, hours Wednesday thru Sunday 10am to 5pm. I am one of many dealers there that sell different types of treasures, either specializing in a topic or two or carrying many different types of items. Plan on spending an hour or two, just wondering through and finding those items ‘hidden’ throughout the store. I hope that you will have as much fun looking over my little corner of items as I did in finding them. Be sure to stop back regularly for I stop by on a weekly basis, changing it by adding new items or giving that smart shopper a chance at a sale that I offer. When you do visit and you see that something special, remember –
‘The item that you see in the shop today and decided to think about it tonight, may be gone tomorrow, purchased by someone else who saw today.'

Kap's Corner and Cecelia's Jewelry is going to be located at Chrissy's Past to Present located at 2030 Swamp Pike in Gilbertsville!

Sound familiar???

It's our old home - Swamp Door.

Chrissy's Past to Present (a former vendor) had set-up her own shop in Douglasville. When she heard about Swamp Door's closing, she checked it out and has secured the lease and has the entire store rented out with a waiting list! Chrissy and her vendors will be transitioning to the Swamp Pike location during September with a soft opening of October 1st. We will have a Grand Re-Opening on Black Friday/Small Business Saturday weekend (November 27th - 29th).

From now till opening day, we will all be moving in and setting up our booths over the next several weeks. Katie and I have secured a section in the Annex (our previous spot was already claimed) but we are very excited to be a part of this new chapter of the store. There are many previous vendors returning and we will be learning the names of our new family members, there will be small differences but the excitement is already there. Heck, people came into the store today while we were having our meeting thinking the store was open! How awesome is that!

I will post more updates (and pictures) as Katie and I get ourselves settled in. Pictures below were just before we closed back in May.

So excited and looking forward to the opening day!

The end of another chapter in Kap's Corner.

In May 2026, The Swamp Door closed it doors and all vendors needed to vacate their booths. It took a couple of days and lots of help (Thanks you to Tim, Anthony, Bill, Alison and Curt) who helped me pack things up to be moved to - I hope - a temporary storage unit.

This is especially disappointing since I waited a year for this booth and was only in it for less than 10 months.

I am looking for another place to set-up shop, hopefully soon. I will let everyone know when I get settled into a new location.

Small Business Saturday is TODAY!

Today I will be at The Swamp Door where we are continuing our Black Friday Weekend vendor sale! My booth 'KAP' is offering 25% off everything. All other vendors are offering their own sales.

The change has been made, I am in a new booth at The Swamp Door and it's a corner spot. Yes, Kap's Corner is now in a corner spot. Below are the before and after pictures that took over 5 hours to make the change happen. It would have taken me much longer with the great help from my brother Bill. Thank you so much for helping me move and getting those pictures up on the wall. All of this done just before the store's Black Friday sale. It's our vendor sale and I will be offering 25% off anything in my booth 'KAP'.

Store hours for the sale are Wednesday the 26th from 10am to 3pm, closed Thursday - Happy Thanksgiving everyone and then open for Friday, Saturday and Sunday 28th, 29th & 30th from 10am to 6pm for the sale. I will be working at the store on Saturday from 2pm to 6pm.

Stop by and see what awesome treasures are to be found!
