✨Hey, it’s me… I’m still here!✨
I’m Brittany Wagner, the face, maker, and very happy-to-slowly-be-getting-back-to-it tooling hands behind Powder River Leather! 🤍
After taking a little motherhood hiatus from the leather bench I’ve found myself seriously craving the smooth curls of the swivel knife, the smell of leather and just getting my hands back to work creating things!
And let’s be real… burnout is ROUGH! It has a funny way of sneaking up on you ever so quietly until one day you realize you’re running on fumes and your creative tank is somewhere in another zip code. 😮💨
So I stepped away and I gave myself permission to slow down, be a mama and let that season be what it needed to be!
And apparently, while I was “taking a break,” I accidentally started TWO WHOLE OTHER BUSINESSES. 🤪

✨ Wyoming Marquee Letters — where we rent giant 3-foot-tall steel marquee letters to help you light up your special events!
Because apparently one business wasn’t enough. 😂
So here I am, coming back to the leather bench and trying to juggle three businesses, three whole kiddos, a marriage, a cute little herd of animals, a garden, a house, and approximately 47 things that somehow need to happen every day. 😂
But honestly? I’m excited. I’m excited to create again. I’m excited to pick up my tools! I’m excited to pull out the hides, sharpen my knives, turn on the lights in my shop, and spend some time at the bench making beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces with my own two hands…try that AI! 😜
And most of all, I’m excited to see where God takes this next chapter.
Looking back over the last SEVEN YEARS of Powder River Leather, I can see His hand in so many little and big things. What started as a creative outlet and small hobby has grown, changed, paused and somehow kept going through all the different seasons of life!
There have been seasons of nonstop busy, seasons of motherhood, seasons of rest, seasons of uncertainty, and seasons where I wondered what Powder River Leather would even look like moving forward.
But God has been faithful through every single one!🙏🏼
I truly believe there is purpose in the seasons when God asks us to slow down just as much as there is purpose in the seasons when He calls us to get back to work.
And right now? I think He’s nudging me back toward the bench! 🤍
Not because I need to prove anything or do it all perfectly but because I genuinely love this craft! I love the learning, the challenge and the process of taking a piece of leather and turning it into something meaningful that will hopefully be used, loved, and passed down for years to come!
So… Powder River Leather, I’m coming back. 🥹🤍
It may look a little different than it did seven years ago. I may have more kids, three businesses, less social media posts and significantly less uninterrupted time 😂… but I’m bringing the same heart, the same passion for handmade goods, and a mindset of learning for me not for the market!
