The Ashford family has operated a business from the same location since 1952, starting with Gilroy's Western Auto department store and transitioning in 1991 to Ashford's Heirlooms, an antiques and collectibles store. The shop has been twice recognized as Gilroy's best downtown antique store by local print media.
