We had Eagle 🦅 Cam out today checking the stream and lake conditions and they both look great throughout the weekend with calm winds, a little rain and warmer temperatures. Nicest we’ve had so far this spring. Elk has stocked trout in places and still smallmouth scattered throughout Girard to the lake. With a calm few days we expect the nearshore walleye bite to start to pick up. 🤞 Reports have some already being caught from the piers, walnut, trout run and elk. We’ve heard that the boat ramp on elk cleaned, the trees removed and it’s supposed to happen soon. 🤞🤞

Stream report, Thursday 6:30, April 30th. our last till fall with Walleye season opening this weekend it’s time to turn our attention to the lake fishing.
We have great stream conditions currently and we expect them to last throughout the weekend. This will be the first weekend in a long while that the creeks haven’t been blown out, there’s lots of Smallmouth, stocked Browns, Sucker and even some reports of big Catfish being caught 👍.
Walleye season opens Saturday with reports of some being caught from the piers, Smallmouth in the bay has also picked up and shore casting for walleye is not far off. We’re getting things kicked off with a spring stock up sale with 10 to 15% off everything walleye and bass gear, for the guys heading out on the lake call the shop the day before and we’ll have your lunches ready to go for a day on the water just grab and go.

We’re only one week away from opening day of walleye and just in time for this weekend’s Walleye seminar, there is a few spots left. Stream and fishing conditions report, Tuesday, April 21st. 2026.
Elk Creek second season is full on go! We expect most of the tributaries to be experiencing the same things. Smallmouth are starting to flood the systems. Fly or spinning tackle is productive, sucker, stockie brown trout are everywhere with reports of Smallmouth up as far as the Beckman access in numbers. We are also introducing a new line of jigs and swim bait jig heads at our Walleye seminar this weekend for you casters. Bass or Walleye, only available at our shop, thank you L.S.B.C. Baits, these are some of the best quality we’ve ever seen. We still have few spots open for this weekend’s Walleye seminar, drifting, shore casting, trolling will be everything we’re going over. We’re getting closer, Saturday, April 25th. and we have some availability left for registration but they’re going fast. Come join us for this year’s Walleye seminar. This year is going to all encompassing, drifting, casting, jigging, bottom bouncing, trolling with inline and big boards and much more! Captain Mike from Oneeyeatatimefishing will be doing a presentation and Muddycreek Tackle will be in house with some of the best new systems for rod holders we’ve seen.. We are also going to be talking about the changes in the fishery over the last 30 years and how it’s evolved.

It’s that time again folks !
Back by popular demand our 3rd. annual Walleye seminar!! This year we’re not only doing small boat programs but big boat also! Unlike our last couple we want to go over all aspects of how fill the coolers. This year also we want to hear from you fellow fisherman , your experiences and tips, tricks you have learned along you want to share as us all. Stream report, Friday, March 20th. 2026
Yesterday’s warmer temperatures just about melted all the snow and the tributaries started to come up and get muddy into the afternoon but this morning has most of them on the drop and starting to clear up. There is a little rain in the forecast but the weekend looks promising. The story has been the same since ice out, there’s fish around but they’re in small groups and scattered looking to spawn. Had some really good reports last week from the lower sections of a handful of tributaries with some fresh fish being caught.. Some sucker have come in and a couple reports of smallmouth but not many. Good Luck to All, Fish On 👏👍🎣

Stream report, Friday the 13th. of March.. 10am.
Elk has come a long way in the last 24 hours and we expect it to continue to improve through the weekend.. Colder temperatures today and a little snow but we don’t expect it to amount much. Most of the reports we’ve been getting before the blowout had fish scattered and pairing up in pocket water and faster water runs. Good luck to all, Fish On 👍🎣👏
