this Baritone Ukulele is walnut sides, flame maple back and 100year old+ CVG fir top, this was an experiment to hear what the fir would sound like as a top! compensated for softness with some extra bracing ...sounds really nice!

so I am building a dulcimer/strumstick for a friend who brought me a big billet of very flamey maple, also a part of it was a live edge burl that got cut off in the shaping of the wood so that I could cut book matched top and back pieces. I took that burl and made a tailpiece of sorts out of it tell me what you think....standard tail piece with hook inlay or burl tailpiece, that I can also inlay a hook if needed

so I fabricated my own version of the bridge doctor for a 12 string I got in today, has a really bad belly on the top, bridge pulling up too. I'll let it dry overnight and then tighten it up tomorrow!
