A Piece of Railroad History

You never know what remarkable piece of history will arrive at one of our Roadshow Buying Events!

Our team recently purchased this authentic railroad chore jacket dating back to the 1950s. It originally belonged to Carlyle Lumsden, who was born in 1910 and worked for the railroad throughout the western United States for 40 years.

The jacket was later passed down through the family to his son, Gardy Bond, who worked for the same railroad. Covered with regionally sourced company and public railroad patches, this unique piece represents two generations of railroad workers and decades of American history.

Cleaning a coin can remove its original surface and significantly damage a coin. Even coins that appear tarnished or discolored are desired by many collectors.
