Governor Wes Moore has officially signed Maryland’s new “Glock Ban” into law and gun owners should be paying attention.
This law targets certain pistols Maryland considers “machine gun convertible,” restricting future sales, transfers, purchases, and more.
Supporters claim this is about stopping illegal conversion devices. But here’s the problem: those devices are already illegal. Instead of focusing on criminals using illegal switches, this law puts restrictions on common, lawfully owned fi****ms and the responsible gun owners and dealers who follow the law.
That should concern every gun owner.
Because if lawmakers can restrict one category of firearm based on how someone could illegally modify it, where does that logic stop?
