Hey there folks! I'm still here! I haven't made a cigar box in quite some time, but I was inspired recently by a certain movie; Frankenstein, dir. Guillermo Del Toro. If you've seen it, you know what a gorgeous masterpiece of cinema it truly is. This particular box is inspired by Elizabeth and a couple of her costumes, in particular; the "Malachite dress", (outer box paint), and the "Cell dress". The colors scheme chosen reflect aspects of both of these costumes. The scarab beetle and butterflies obviously reflect her fascination with entomology and the fact that she herself, relates to the bugs that she's so fascinated with. The strap and material inserts are machine sewn, the butterflies are hand beaded, the box hand painted and hardware assembly all by me. The handles I used were ones that I already had and I thought they fit the theme quite well. Even though it's been a while I'm pretty happy with how this came out. I would like to do one based off of her wedding dress, one for the creature and possibly one for Dr. Frankenstein as well. I would like to get back to this on a regular basis. I would like to do horror themes like I used to but that doesn't mean I'm limited to just that. I've made boxes with all different themes before and I have so many ideas for ones that want to do in the future. If anyone has any requests I'm still taking commissions as always. This box will be at the shop and available for $60. If it's something you would like to claim ahead of time, you can message me and send it to my cash app. Thank you as always for looking and thank you to everyone who's ever purchased one of these in the past. I appreciate every single one of you and your support.
