One of my favorite vignettes is my little civil war section. I just got this Old birth certificate in from 1863. Some lovely old tintypes, Civil War books. And my favorite thing is lead soldiers in the union, black troop.

Spent the day at peace valley park . We sat on the dock ate our lunch went for a long walk. It is such a hidden treasure, great place. There’s a little lavender farm Down The Street and also a great old-fashioned farm market where you can get an amazing homemade sandwich, sandwiches, fruit, and bakery goods. A real win-win.

Just got this lovely antique rounded glass display cabinet. There’s wonderful items inside. I got a complete set of Louise May Alcott Books, child’s violin from the Mystic owl company, an antique doll from the 1860s. And a lovely hand painted watercolor of a French queen and so much more.

I love this corner of the store. Has so many fun kitchen things and just hidden treasures. The Nest will be one tomorrow...
