Well… looks like Santa Claus has officially come to town! 🎅🏻🎄

Never mind that it’s still September. Around here, we operate on floral-shop time, where Christmas begins whenever the freight trucks say it does. 😂

We’re getting so much closer to being Christmas ready, and judging by the look on Santa’s face… I’m not sure either one of us is prepared for what this showroom is about to look like. 😂🎄

I’ve had this conversation with a few other florists lately: Does hot pink + orange actually read FALL to you? Or is it just a trendy color combination that happens to be really pretty right now? 😂

Y’all already know I passed PFDE, but getting this congratulations from the AIFD South Central Chapter in the mail made it feel a little more real. ❤️🌸

Now the countdown is on to July, when I’ll officially be inducted and pinned into AIFD. Something I’ve worked toward for a long time is getting pretty dang close. 🥹

I don’t think I ever expected Christmas at our little shop to turn into this. 😂🎄

When I first started, Christmas was one or two trees decorated mostly with ornaments left over from the previous owner—because I was too silly, dumb, and naive to realize I was actually supposed to order Christmas merchandise to sell. 😂 She even helped me decorate and get everything set up that first year. I’ve always loved Christmas, but I never dreamed it would grow into what it is today.

Now we’re unloading pallets like these from several different companies, and somehow I’m still ordering more. 😂 Every year it gets a little bigger, a little better, and somehow a little crazier.

Looking at all of this sitting outside the shop today really made me think about just how far we’ve come. I’m incredibly thankful for what God has blessed me with and for every single person who has supported our little shop in our little town and allowed it to grow into what it is today. ❤️

And now comes the fun part… getting ALL of this into the showroom and merchandised. Katrina, I hope you’re ready. 😂 Joke’s on both of us.

Christmas at Glenwood Florist & Gifts is coming VERY soon, and I seriously cannot wait for y’all to see what we’ve picked out this year. 🎄✨
