Hey if anyone viewing this page happens to be good with graphic design software and wants to make a few bucks helping me design a new business card, gimme a shout. I ran out of business cards recently so I need to order more, but this time I’d like to put a functional string action ruler on the back of the card. I was gonna do it myself but I’m having trouble getting my template to fit on a business card so I think it’ll kind of have to be made from scratch to match the dimensions of a standard business card. I’ll pay cash and/or trade labor if you prefer.

Need stands for a bandsaw, buffing arbor+motor, stuff like that. Nothing too big. Could maybe find stands for some of this stuff online, but finding stands with the right dimensions to match up with the holes for the bolts in the base of tools like this - and stands that can accommodate a motor - is a bit of a pain in the ass. Plus Amazon has already gotten enough of my god damn money as it is and I figure a local guy might wanna take the chance to earn some of that income for themselves.

Hey if anyone happens to know the person who owns 116 S Broadway in Gloucester City (the old storefront property that used to be an appliance repair workshop), I’d appreciate if you could put us in touch. I’m not sure if they plan on listing the place for rent or if maybe it was already sold or something, but if it’s available it’d be a perfect spot to put my workshop. Home office is getting a little too cramped lately, I need more space.

Edit: I think it’s pretty obvious at this point that the person I’m dealing with here has some sort of mental health issue going on, and in retrospect I probably should have realized that sooner. Their Facebook activity and their erratic, inappropriately hostile behavior toward me and others makes that pretty obvious in hindsight. I hope this person gets the help they need. If they don’t, they’re going to end up on the losing end of a libel lawsuit sooner or later.

Back in November someone created a post claiming that I had taken 3 months to do a set up, and that I was making excuses.That post was extremely misleading and I feel like I need to set the record straight. That was not just a simple set up. I literally do set ups in person, while you wait whenever possible. If it were just a simple set up he wouldn’t have left it with me in the first place.

$400+ worth of work was performed on that bass, and the customer was informed and approved of it every step of the way. The normal wait time for the half dozen repairs they needed would have been 5-7 weeks. They waited 10 because I got sick.

If being sick sounds like an excuse to you, then by all means take your guitar and your trust issues elsewhere. I'm a human being. I get sick.

I have 30+ reviews across platforms. All of them are 5 star, most of them glowing. I take a lot of pride in that, and in the work I did to earn those reviews. But I guess it’s inevitable that if you run a business long enough, no matter how good you are, you’re eventually gonna catch someone in a bad mood. But man it really stings for the first one I’ve ever gotten to be from that particular case. I put a lot of extra time and effort into that bass hoping he would appreciate the lengths I went just to make sure he could afford the work he needed done. Clearly that was a mistake. But it is what it is. I’ll find a lesson to take away from that case, and I’ll be better for it in the end.

I always forget to take before photos 🤦‍♂️. But here are the after photos of a crack repair I recently performed on a Martin D-28.

Crack was originally about 3 inches long, and occurred due to an impact rather than humidity. Went straight through the wood in this case. Bad enough to where one side was slightly overlapping the other.

But I’m a magician, you see. I make cracks disappear.

Steven (the owner), back me up if you happen to see this post! I feel like some people might see this and think, “I bet there was never even a crack to begin with…”. 😂

Just an update for all my current customers: I know some of you have been waiting longer than expected, sorry guys. I’m mostly feeling better now, just a little fatigued, but I was sick with something nasty for like 4 weeks.

Started with really bad migraines and a fever, chills, clogged sinuses, you know the deal, regular cold symptoms. Cough didn’t start for like a week after the first symptom. Started feeling a little better maybe halfway through the second week, went back to working for a few days. Then a couple days into that I woke up one morning with this like pulsating pressure sensation in my head and in both ears. Super weird sensation, hard to describe if you’ve never felt it before. Stood up and tried to walk to the bathroom and started feeling nauseous pretty much immediately, then before I knew it the room was doing backflips around me and I was puking my guts out lol.

Considered going to the ER at that point because I had never had that happen or even heard of that happening to anyone else from a cold before. But I consulted the oracle… and Google said it was definitely probably labrynthitis and that it would resolve on its own in a few weeks. I think I’m mostly over it now, I’ve been back to work for a few days now. But god damn that was the most miserable month of my life man. There’s been a couple times where I got faked out thinking I was over it only to have it come back again, but fingers crossed last time was the final time that happens.

So anyway, I know some of you guys have probably been wondering what the hell is going on with your guitar, and that’s totally understandable. I know some of you got especially unlucky with the timing of when I got sick. I’m doing some extra stuff on the house for a few of you to hopefully make up for the extra wait. One of you got an unshielded cavity shielded for free, a few of you are getting free strings, one of you is getting a real bone saddle for free, etc.

Thanks to everyone who’s been patient and understanding about the extra wait time. I’ll make sure you all get a little something extra for your trouble. Love yah 😘.
