We have had alot in our plate this summer and mostly pre sold our pumpkins. We were not going to put the stand out this year but we have about 10 pumpkins left so we decided to do a small set up.

They are priced at $5 but really just pay what you can and if you need to, just take one so they don’t go to waste. We have fun doing the set up and growing them so we want then to be enjoyed 🎃

Summer is off to a busy start here as we are adjusting to life with two very active kids, busy season for our fulltime jobs and roller coaster weather.

We redesigned our irrigation system for the hightunnel and it will literally save us hours each day watering. All the veggies and flowers are growing great and we will be harvesting our first round of peas and green beans in the next week or two. Flowers have all been pinched so they will start the branching process.

Our chickens have spent the last month or so fertilizing the lawn and love being out on these cooler days. We have a processing date of July 9th so if I haven’t reach out to you to figure out pick up or delivery, please message me.

I will try to get better with pictures and updates but here are some highlights from the spring

Starting today, all pumpkins are $1! They aren’t huge but they do have some unique shapes that would make for great carving 🎃

And all the gourds are free. There are still plenty of 🌶️🫑 also.

If you don’t think you need a pumpkin, think again. There are a couple of carving contests going in the area. The Barton Chronicle is hosting one this Sunday and Glover Community School students have one next week.

So thankful that I’m still getting some beauty from the hightunnel. I’m not sure how many hard freezes the flowers have left. Production has slowed but I’m still savoring it

It’s coming to the end of the season and the produce is priced to clear out. We have had some heavy frosts here so the 💐are done for then season.

Everything has been reduced to find new homes. And these may be the last 🫑 of the season. Rocky hand picked all the bell and 🌶️ peppers yesterday.

As a reminder, all proceeds from the farmstand fund next year’s crops, improvements (hoping to improve the watering system once again), and feed for the animals.
