new marbled work for you, including but not limited to BAGS. after a period of the worst depression ever, this marbled s**t is healing me. a very humbling art, and sheer glee when it works right.

something cool is i have become friends with a leatherworker of an esteemed age. the town i moved to was a haven for tanneries and leather goods production for decades and there’s still literal glove makers and tanneries active in town as i type this. he has shared some of his deep cuts from his leather stash with me - in this case, the two neon wallets (a stanton and an essex) in the fourth photo - these are cut from a rosette embossed cowhide, and it takes the neon pigment insanely well. the way it adds dimension to an already delicious color combo and that it was originally tanned nearby amuses me to no end. when he gave it to me originally it was the chromium grey - a non veg coloration, but on some real s**t, my priority right now is getting these colors to pop. the impact of the natural veg peach tone vs this thing closer to a 30% cool grey means different outcomes for my pigments! oh my god variables. humble me, i beg!

anyway i made some bags and the planning that goes into cutting multiple panels with coordinating marble color palettes is a funny thing. marbling is a labor of love. it takes longer than my attn span likes but the payoff is generally worth it.

in order to jump into the marbling i must also work on my watercolors, seen developing in these photos from their last photos - unrelated to marbling other than color palettes sometimes overlap - the point here is more art is getting made. am a firm believer of working on 6 creative projects at once, bc the creativity that emerges is provoked by different mediums and persistence of development without promise of getting you paid or laid (thank you julia cameron, patron saint of this s**t).

thanks for reading. link in bio to shop. have a bitchin wednesday!!!!

got some new work on the site today.

i’ve been off ig long enough that i forgot that certain words will get you c3nsored. these platforms are owned by ol1garchs and the speech is not free. the descent into f4scism is lined with good intentions, but will get you shadow banned.

anyway enjoy the drop, the three of you who will see this, and know my heart is as wrecked as yours is today. america was never great. link in bio to shop!

listen, it’s been ages since i was interested in anything. a lot of things happened last year that resulted in a strong wave of anhedonia. i dont know what else to tell you. nothing i loved brought me joy. to analyze what happened to my mental health last year feels so futile, i won’t waste my breath on it here. it still largely feels like it did but i’m making my way back and that is evidenced by the sheer glee i experienced when i started marbling.

to keep reading, head over to my substack! to shop, head over to the site. links are in bio as usual. carry on, comrades 💪🏼

reporting to you live from gloversville, ny, where leather dreams were born and apparently mine are being resurrected. i’ve been gone from brooklyn for 2 months now. i spent a mere ten months in the loft, aka my princess castle, where i shriveled up like a dehydrated rapunzel in a cold, cold darkness, experiencing some of the most palpable anhedonia of my life. but friends, i have great news. i have more windows now (and sunrise lightbulbs, and a dog!!!) and i am Making New S**t.

peruse at your own peril to see some prog shots from the last few weeks - i have a new marbled wallet drop for you this week (marbled in house!!!!! my once neutral paint pants now contain rainbows) - and a handful of gorgeous stragglers left from the first drop. more works are forthcoming but i need to buy more marbling detritus and a lot of yarn.

lastly i would like you all to know i have done plumbing for the first time and installed an entire shower. if you think you can’t do something, honestly, not with that attitude you can’t. but with enough trips to lowe’s, anything is possible. 🛀

beck here with some updates!
i have a drop for you today, featuring one offs, samples, and styles i’ve been working on during 2025. best place to shop with louise goods, going forward, will be online. honestly, if it were the 90s, i’d open a store, but it’s 2025, so i will be here, on the internet.
and now i’m offering you free US shipping at any price point and a MUCH shorter turn around time on delivery as I am moving away from made to order collection work and towards a business model of completed one offs and small batch production.
if you peruse the site today, you’ll find the first iteration of patch bags (long anticipated, thank you for your patience), an assortment of marbled wallets, and a handful of one off bags & wallets, ALL READY TO SHIP. !!! it’s taken me pivoting away from markets to be able to offer this, and it’s been a long time coming. i want to get the work to you faster, and at last, the change is upon us.
also, on that note, i’m taking a much needed break from markets. to review: find me on the internet! i will be here.

tl;dr - sitewide sale thru saturday, 6/21, at 3am EST
reason: to celebrate the end of an era a we are retiring the redington!
code: BYERED

there’s definitely more photos than can fit in this carousel - this is the bag i’ve made the most across my fifteen years of leatherwork. the redington was designed around a surplus of hardware after a wholesale client flaked on a huge order - and wound up transforming my business. the redington was particularly different from everything else i’d designed up to this point (earliest photo i found was dated may 31, 2018!) - because it only took 45 minutes to make.

in the scheme of things, labor drives my prices up the fastest. to cut costs on my own labor via efficient design was a revelation that’s informed everything i’ve designed ever since. thank you, little redington, for everything. 🫶

to celebrate the end of the era of the redington, enter code BYERED at check out take 30% off the whole site this saturday at 3am EST! this will be your last chance to pick up a redington for the foreseeable future. !

also, if you have any photos of you and your redington - can you dm them to me?

tldr: hard launching open loft today (fri, 6/6)
address: 50 bridge st., #305, brooklyn, ny 11201
(summer) hours: 2pm-8pm, every friday

what can i tell you? the loft is open! 2-8, every friday, i will be here, making art, showing you my art, and hopefully providing a little reprieve from the chaos of the world and inspiration to take with you for your days ahead. i’ve written a bunch of s**t to try to convince you to come by but honestly - nothing quite captures it. not these photos, and in no way can i even summarize it. you just gotta come see it for yourself.

i joined substack (this feels like a very 36 in 2025 thing to do) and left a long winded entry about the loft for you to read. link in bio for that.

see you soon :)
