Our annual Trees for Troops loading event will be the Monday after Thanksgiving, November 30, 2026 at 10 am! Check-in starts around 9:30 - we welcome all volunteers! Come join us! If you want to help provide a REAL Christmas tree to a military family, you can donate one here: https://mitrees.com/product/trees-for-troops-donate-a-christmas-tree/ and we will put a tag on the tree in your name and load it on one of the trucks shipping to a military base. *Note: we don't know which military base(s) this year's donated Christmas trees are going to yet; as soon as we are assigned / given that information, I'll update you all! Thank you for loving and supporting our amazing Troops!

On Patriot Day, we remember the nearly 3,000 murdered on September 11, 2001.

We hold their families in our hearts and honor the courage displayed that morning.

New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch reminded us that time must never weaken the moral clarity of what happened.

The destruction was almost beyond comprehension. So was the heroism that answered it.

“The men who attacked this city were terrorists. The men and women who ran into the towers to save innocent lives were heroes.”

Twenty-five years later, America remembers.

September 11 showed us the terrible face of evil. It also revealed the courage, unity, and goodness of the American people.

We honor the fallen by preserving the truth and teaching it to all future generations.

May their courage always inspire us forever. May their memories remain a blessing.

May God continue to bless the United States of America.

Yes, we already posted about this, but as it's still coming up online in other places, we thought we'd share it again for fun, along with a few more photos! We took 3rd place for both our Decorated and our Undecorated wreaths! Beautiful!

STURGIS, Mich. — Wahmhoff Farms Nursery, located in Gobles, Mich., was named Grand Champion for its 8-foot Fraser Fir at the Michigan Christmas Tree Association’s (MCTA) Biennial Tree Contest. The event took place on July 23, 2026, during the MCTA Summer Meeting at Timberly Tree Farms in Sturgis.

The award-winning tree was presented by brothers Dan and Ken Wahmhoff. The Wahmhoffs have been named Grand Champions several times over the past few decades, proudly showcasing their talent for growing exceptional, high-quality trees. Entering two trees in this year’s contest, they achieved a clean sweep, taking home Grand Champion for their Fraser Fir and Reserve Grand Champion for their 8-foot White Spruce.

Wahmhoff Farms won Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion in the 2026 MCTA (Michigan Christmas Tree Association) tree contest this past week!

The Grand Champion Fraser was only 7 years old, planted in 2020. Add in the nursery years and it was 11 years from seed.

The Reserve Champion White Spruce had 9 growing seasons, planted in 2018. It was 13 years old from seed.

As always, we give a lot of credit to Tim Butler, who has run our trimming crews for 40+ years, and who is responsible for selecting options for the contest. Ken and Dan make the final selection after Tim (and others) have done the hard work of narrowing the selections.
