Lower clear is still off the table with the combination of lower flows/high water temperatures. That said, these past few weeks of afternoon storms and cooler evening has brought back fishable water through much of the upper stretches of Clear Creek. Please, still check water temperatures as conditions are changing daily! But we’ve seen good fishing conditions most days until about 3pm through much of the upper half of the canyon, and good fishing conditions all day closer to and above Idaho Springs. Still, please have a thermometer and check regularly!

As water temps at Clear Creek start to drop back down the fish are getting more active! The fishing will only get better and if you have been waiting for the right time it’s now! 🙌 Still keep an eye on temps as the low flows in the lower canyon have reached high temps sporadically

“We’re continuing our alpine creek series as Tryston Bewley and Richard P. Magill chase cutthroat in a remote stream. Our creeks are filled with endless species, but the true gem of the west is the cutthroat trout, and Colorado has plenty of opportunities to chase them. We’re lucky enough to have three different native subspecies, and in this video we pursue the greenback cutthroat. Stayed tuned for a new video in a few days 😎🤘”
