We will open today, October 3rd, at 10AM so that pawned items and layaways may be redeemed.

Redemption of fi****ms will not happen today!!! Any other items can be picked up. The firearm transactions take up time and we have to follow a certain protocol for those. You will get your fi****ms. We need to assure that we have more help on those days. If you have a firearm with us and need to speak with me, you can call (225) 933-2208 and leave a message. I will return your call as soon as I possibly can.

~ATTTENTION! PLEASE READ COMPLETELY!~

With a very heavy heart, I have decided we will be moving towards closing Gold-N-Guns after serving the Ascension community for well over 30 years. This is not an easy decision for me. Mark (who most of you knew) poured his blood and sweat into the business for a very long time and it is difficult to give up his legacy. The outpouring of support that my family was shown after his sudden death showed each of us how many people he touched in some way. I’m forever grateful for all of you! The customers, the friends, the customers who became friends, the many companies we did business with and all the friends who helped us work the business when we needed your help.

In addition, I have developed some rather serious health issues in the last few months and I'm no longer able to give the store the attention it deserves. It is heartbreaking not to be there or to feel like we've disappointed any of our great customers so this is the choice I need to make. I believe it's the choice Mark would want us to make.

That being said, we will do whatever we can to make this transition as easy as possible. There is no urgency in this matter for customers who have items on pawn or on lay-a-way. We will work with you to get those items out. We will be contacting customers who have had items with us for a very long time. None of your items have been pulled. They are all still safely stored. In the next couple weeks I will post dates that we will be open for you to retrieve items on our page. You can message us on Facebook if it's urgent. At present time, I am working on becoming mobile and steady again so I need a little more time. I do sincerely apologize for all of this but these things can't be planned for.

Sometimes when one door closes another one opens and maybe we will cross paths in some new adventure. We have been very blessed to have known so many of you!

Due to unforeseen circumstances & yet another medical emergency we will be closed temporarily.
