Introducing our newest candy: Waterford Wonder
This spring, The Nut Shoppe wanted to do something unique for Danae owning the business for 20 years. We partnered with the 3rd grade Dual Language classes at Waterford Elementary school to help create a new candy.
The Assignment: Have all the students write a persuasive essay to The Nut Shoppe, with the topic being creating a new candy.
We reviewed all the submitted work, combined all the ideas together to determine the new candy. We gathered all the data, organized it, and took the most requested traits of a candy to create something new and unique. (results in the photos) We presented our results to the class at end of the sprint semester, with a prototype of the candy. It took us a couple attempts to refine the recipe after our presentation.
Waterford Wonder is a marshmallow on top, strawberry jelly on the bottom with a chocolate pretzel bark sandwich in the middle.
We had a lot of fun collaborating! Thank you to all the students who wrote some well written papers. There were some really good ideas submitted, and we encourage you guys to make your idea at home with your family.
