K.L. Bavarian Wax Art Handmade and painted wax ornaments and wall hangings using old world methods. This special wax will withstand room temperatures of up to 125 degrees.

Bavarian wax ornaments are created from a special wax blend that is harder and more durable than regular candle wax. Bavarian wax ornaments are perfectly safe on your Christmas tree, but should not be placed in direct sunlight or stored in an attic. Each Bavarian wax ornament is individually molded and hand rubbed with a special powder which fuses with the wax to show detail. Some items then have

gold, silver, or copper dust applied to further enhance certain details. Each ornament is then hand painted and finished with a protective coating. Old German legends of the Black Forest say that a wood carving of faces in wood originated in Germany. In Southern Germany most homes have a carving of wood or wax. These carvings are said to bring happiness, good luck, love,peace or prosperity. The Bavarian Good Luck Heart for example, is often hand-painted on the outside of homes or window shutters or carved into wood railings of balconies to ensure good luck.
