World Environment Day feels like a good reminder that small choices really do matter. At ND Coffee Roastery, we believe great coffee should be about more than just what’s in the cup. It’s about supporting local businesses, building relationships, roasting with purpose, and focusing on quality over mass production. Every small batch we roast represents people, farmers, partners, coffee shops, customers, and communities that care about doing things the right way. We’re proud to work with businesses that value local, appreciate craftsmanship, and understand that thoughtful sourcing and intentional roasting make a difference.

Let's Celebrate Sandi Luck!
Some people build businesses. Some people build communities. Sandi Luck has done both.
Join us on June 18th from 8:30–10:00 AM at the North Dakota Coffee Roastery as we celebrate Sandi and the tremendous impact she has made across our region.
From a bold idea and a whole lot of determination, Sandi grew Bully Brew Coffee into a beloved North Dakota brand. Along the way, she has created jobs, supported local organizations, mentored others, and helped shape our coffee community into what it is today.
This morning of celebration will include breakfast burritos and fruit from Darcy's Cafe, cake from Sweet Street, and plenty of opportunities to congratulate someone who has spent years pouring her heart into serving others.
The food and celebration have been made possible through the generosity of friends, colleagues, and fellow business owners who wanted to recognize Sandi's contributions and success.
Whether you've shared a cup of coffee with Sandi, worked alongside her, or simply admire what she's built, we'd love for you to stop by and help us celebrate.

There are projects that make you stop for a second and think… “Wow, we really get to do this.” Creating the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation Roast, with packaging that highlights the legendary Medora Musical, has been such an incredible honor for us at ND Coffee Roastery. The Medora Musical is such an iconic part of North Dakota summers, bringing together music, history, energy, and the beauty of the Badlands all in one unforgettable experience. To see that spirit reflected on a custom coffee roast we created is something we are truly proud of. From the roast itself to the final bag design, every detail was built to celebrate the experience, tradition, and magic that makes Medora so special. When your coffee labels are hand drawn by your customer… you KNOW you’re doing something right.

Huge shoutout to The Edge Co. in Alexandria for bringing some serious personality and creativity to their coffee lineup! We are absolutely HERE FOR IT.

One of our favorite things about what we do at ND Coffee Roastery is helping businesses create something that feels uniquely THEM, and these labels? Total vibe. Custom coffee. Custom branding. Endless possibilities. And honestly… now we might need more hand-drawn labels in our lives. Support local businesses doing cool things, friends.

Last week, we welcomed four amazing business owners to Coffee School for three days of learning, growth, and hands-on experience!

From business finances and operations to brewing methods, espresso training, coffee tasting, and roasting exposure, attendees gained valuable tools to help grow their coffee businesses. We also toured local coffee shops and had the opportunity to learn from Coffee School alumni during a special Q&A session.

Coffee School is about more than coffee, it’s about building confidence, creating connections, and helping owners succeed. Thank you to our attendees for a fantastic week!

Coffee School Day One

Today was packed with learning, teamwork, and lots of coffee! We kicked things off with a full roastery and warehouse tour before diving into a brewing methods class with Becky. From there, we headed to a local coffee shop where we had the opportunity to visit with the staff, learn about their day-to-day operations, and see what keeps their location running smoothly.

We wrapped up the day back at the warehouse, collaborating on creating SWOT analyses for our locations and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Coffee School for May is officially underway today
There’s something special about this moment, the first day when everything is still new, a little quiet, and full of possibility. Over the next three days, we’re excited to watch this group dive in, ask questions, make mistakes, and most importantly… grow. From learning the fundamentals to getting hands-on with real coffee decisions, this is where the real progress happens. Every Coffee School looks a little different, but the energy is always the same: curiosity, focus, and that spark when things start to click.
Can’t wait to see what this group takes away from it, and how they’ll carry it forward after these three days.
