Friday, July 31, marks the final day of the St. Joseph's Summer Lunch Program for 2026.

To every child, family, volunteer, sponsor, and community partner—thank you for making this another incredible summer of serving our neighbors. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide nutritious meals and smiles throughout Grand Forks.

If your family still needs free lunches in August, our friends at United Lutheran Church will continue serving meals from August 3 - August 20 (Monday - Thursday)

We encourage families to take advantage of this wonderful program so children can continue enjoying healthy lunches before the school year begins.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your summer. We can't wait to see everyone again next year! ❤️

We are thankful for the helping hands this summer!

The Grand Forks Police Impact Academy wants to give a big Thank You to the folks at St. Joseph’s Social Care for providing meals to our community’s children at our parks and allowing our Impact Academy kids to help prepare them and hand them out each day 😊. We are so glad to be part of the St. Joseph’s Social Care summer lunch program. This partnership helps feed kids in our community as well as our impact academy children weekly. Thank you!

🥫 Our shelves need your help.

Right now, St. Joseph's Food Pantry is experiencing one of our lowest inventories of essential food items. Every day, families, seniors, veterans, and individuals in our community rely on us for help putting food on the table. We want to be there for every person who walks through our doors—but we can't do it without your support.

If you're heading to the grocery store this week, would you consider picking up one or two extra items?

Items we need most:
• Boxed dinner kits (Hamburger Helper, etc.)
• Canned fruit
• Macaroni & cheese
• Pasta
• Canned vegetables
• Canned meat (tuna, chicken, Spam, etc.)
• Canned soup
• Pasta sauce
• Rice
• Ramen noodles
• Cereal

Also, we are in need of empty egg cartons.

Every donation—large or small—helps ensure that no neighbor has to leave our pantry empty-handed.

Donations can be dropped off during our regular business hours at St. Joseph's Social Care - 620 8th Ave. South.

As we celebrate the Independence Day holiday, please note a small change to our Summer Lunch schedule.

✅ We WILL be serving lunch:
Monday, June 29 – Thursday, July 2

❌ We WILL NOT be serving lunch:
Friday, July 3

Lunch service will resume on our normal schedule following the holiday.

During the summer, when kids are out of school it can be very difficult for families to provide consistent nutritious meals for their family. St. Joseph's recognizes this challenge and offers free lunches to local children.

🚫 Please Do Not Leave Donations After Hours 🚫

We truly appreciate the generosity of our community, but we ask that donations only be dropped off during our posted donation hours.

Items left after hours often become targets for people digging through and scattering donations. Unfortunately, many of these items end up damaged, ruined by weather, or removed before they can help anyone in need. It also creates unnecessary after-hours activity in our neighborhood.

The video below shows exactly why we have this policy in place.

Your donations make a tremendous difference when they are received properly. By donating during business hours, you help ensure your generosity reaches the people and programs it is intended to support.

📢 SUMMER LUNCH UPDATE

Due to ArtFest setup activities, St. Joseph’s Summer Lunch Program will not be serving meals at University Park on Friday, June 5.

All other Summer Lunch locations will operate as scheduled.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
