This double-headed Nkisi figure, inspired by Kongo traditions of Central Africa, represents a powerful spiritual mediator believed to see both the world of the living and the realm of the dead at the same time. Traditionally associated with a nganga (spiritual healer), these figures were thought to contain sacred medicine and serve as agents of protection, justice, healing, or even vengeance. The multiple faces and watchful eyes symbolize heightened awareness and spiritual authority, while the overall form reflects a deep connection to unseen forces and ancestral power.

Because of the current economy, we’ve made the painful decision to close our brick-and-mortar store this spring. This choice came with many tears and long nights.
