A powerful sight in the heart of our community, honoring the lives lost, the heroes who stepped forward, and a day our country will never forget.

It’s all in the details. ✨

This intricate hinge at Old Central School appears to be a decorative cast-iron hinge in the Eastlake/Victorian style, likely dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The mix of geometric patterns, flowers and leaves is characteristic of the period, when even everyday hardware was made to be beautiful.

We’d love to know more about it! Does anyone recognize the pattern, maker, or know anything about the original hardware in Old Central School?

Meet the newest artists!

Still trying to decide if flower pounding is for you? 🌸 I prooooooomise it’s as easy as it is fun!

This little piece came from scrap fabric stuffed in a drawer, petals from a dying houseplant (RIP), and a few cuties snagged from an overgrown yard.

Some buildings are old. Others tell a story.

Built in 1895, Old Central School served Grand Rapids students for 77 years before the community came together to save and restore it. Today, it’s home to local businesses, artists, and events that continue to bring people together. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, recognizing its architectural and historical significance.

Being listed on the National Register doesn’t just honor the past—it helps preserve places that have shaped our communities so future generations can enjoy them, too. We’re proud to have this beacon of light in our community. ❤️

The flowers on OCS grounds are so beautiful right now!

When you stop by to look at them make sure you check out the new shops! Did you know the building is at 100% capacity!

We also have had new Artists in the Attic move in at the beginning of the month! Come make them feel welcome!
