The story began in 1997, when founder Tim Adrianson opened a small brick-and-mortar shop near Division Avenue and 44th Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan, focused on helping players find the right music gear with honest service and real expertise. Over the years as the business grew, Tim’s sons, Levi Adrianson and Caleb Adrianson, joined the company as owner-operators and have helped expand the family’s vision across Firehouse Guitars, GearTree, and sister company Great Lakes Outpost including the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility in 2022. Today, Firehouse Guitars and GearTree remain family-run, combining local trust, national influence, and a shared passion for serving musicians to get more gear in more hands at every level! Firehouse Guitars is home to one of Michigan’s standout musical instrument showrooms, with over 1,000 guitars on the wall along with keyboard, drum, live sound, and recording sections. Across the 6,000 square-foot brick-and-mortar store, musicians can explore top brands like Ibanez, Yamaha, Fender, Martin, Gibson, Suhr, PRS, Rickenbacker, ESP, Takamine, BOSS, Roland, Dunlop, Seymour Duncan, Shure, Neural DSP, Orange, Jackson, Schecter, and many more including THOUSANDS of unique effects pedals. We also offer Firehouse Guitars Exclusive models from brands like Fender Custom Shop, Dean, ESP, Martin, and Crazy Tube Circuits. We have always centered our business around our lesson program since we opened! We are proud to offer lessons for many instruments including guitar, drums, bass guitar, piano, songwriting, audio recording, banjo, and ukulele! All private lessons are $25 per half hour lesson, or $50 per hour lesson. We also have Intro to Guitar classes available. Be sure to check out our website or call the store for available times! Finally, we are one of the only shops in the entire Midwest with a Plek machine. The Plek machine's incredibly detailed data imaging combined with our technician's expertise can bring almost any guitar's frets and action back to life! We are also are an Authorized Service Center for Fender Guitars and can handle all warranty repairs for Fender. If your guitar is broken, then we can most likely fix it. Whether you need a basic setup, a pickup swap, or a crack repaired on your acoustic, we have you covered. Along with guitar repair, we are proud to offer amp and speaker repair.
