Archana Maniar's conversation partner Sharon Fujimoto-Johnson is ill and will be unable to attend the event this Sunday. Ghosts of Waikiki author Jennifer K. Morita will join us in her place. Plus, the first twenty guests to purchase the book will receive a special gift from Archana!

Thank you to all who came out for one or both of our author visits this weekend! It was such a fun time and it brings me so much joy to see the shop so full of life and everyone’s love for books on display. We have many more events planned through late November, so it’s already time to look toward the next one:

On Sunday, September 20, we will welcome Archana Maniar at 4 PM, and she’ll be joined in conversation by Sharon Fujimoto-Johnson. Archana’s new historical fiction novel, The Lost Photograph, releases tomorrow from Lake Union Publishing. She will have special items on display related to the book as well as refreshments. She will be interviewed by Sharon Fujimoto-Johnson, author and illustrator of beloved children’s books The Mochi Makers and Shell Song.

To prepare for the event, we will close and lock our doors at 3:30. Everyone except the author and her immediate family will be asked to leave while we set up. We’ll open for event guests at 3:55 PM.

When you arrive, please take a seat and wait until after the author’s talk for any purchases. When the talk concludes, you may form a line while we rearrange a section to allow for a signing table, and then open the register for purchases. If you’ve already picked up the book, you may proceed to the signing table at that time.

Please check out our neighbors at TeaMeet, Los Zarapes, Michaelangelo’s, and Wit & Whimsy Toys if you arrive early!
