NEW NAME, but the same wonderful business! 🪡🧵

You may have noticed that this page is no longer called “Backroads & Bows”. But now “Designed by Gabbie Lynn”.

This change has come from lots of consideration, and something I’ve been planning to do since the beginning of the year. I’ve been wanting a name that better suits my business and future endeavors. This new name, is much more suiting and I’m thrilled to announce it. I loved my little business name I thought of years ago sitting in math class, but it’s time for a new beginning.

I wanted to make this change much sooner in the year, but this year has had lots of hiccups, heartache, and uncertainty. I lost my Dad a month ago, and I wasn’t sure if I’d have to put my dream on hold to take care of him. I know my Dad would have never wanted me to stop my dream for him, and I’m glad to be in a place now to finally get this change started!! 😄

Ham Days is just two short weeks away, and I wanted to make this change in time for new branding! 💕

I’ll have a formal announcement soon on what this plan really holds, but for now be sure to find me at the 2026 Ham Days under the name “Designed by Gabbie Lynn”!🥳

Something NEW coming to Ham Days! 👌🏼🥤

Our new can koozies will be available starting on Ham Days, I’ll have a limited stock of cute and fun patterns!

These fit a regular sized soda can. All the Dollar Store had was this large one to model. 🤦🏻‍♀️😆

Install Day!

For this job, Designs by Mary contacted me to help her finish up a final job for Sansbury Care Center, INC. All the interior decorating and fabric selection goes to her. 🙂

My role: Transform these originally rod pocket curtains and add in gathering tape & Velcro. (Pictured at the end) That way, they could easily mount/stick to the rod. This mounting method is a great way to make a valance that is easily accessible for cleaning purposes. It also created a beautiful valance, that would other wise have a lot of bulk!

Think about how beautiful this would look above a kitchen window! 🪟 ☀️

This job goes to show how much of a difference a beautiful decorated space makes.

I think I shared this on my personal page but not here!

This is the fun of sewing, starting with something that didn’t fit or work for my body, and making it something I loved, and better quality!

I bought this dress brand new from ThredUp. It was originally LuLus brand. The sizing felt completely off and lacked any support.

Thankfully, it was a bit too long. There was enough left to make a new bodice! A few things I did:

-Added boning into the new bodice
-Used the old strap and ties to make new straps, with a bow flair.
-Used what was left of the front bodice to make a bow for the new front.
-I also lined the inside, it wasn’t before.

I used up every piece and there were only a couple little scraps left!

(Unfortunately, I don’t offer this service to the public. But I can guide you!)

Some projects stand out more than others, and I have to admit this dress was the prettiest dress I’ve ever been handed!

The dress was HUGE! It took up my entire table, and even had some hanging off. Mind you, my table is almost 9 foot long. Not only was it huge, it was HEAVY! The amount of beading and lace on this dress-INSANE!! There were easily thousands on this.

And if you know Kaitlyn Hale, you know! It’s easy to see where she gets her love of bling from! 🤣

I seriously loved doing this robe, and was so honored with the opportunity! 🫶🏼
