I’ve changed my logo… A tiny rebrand you can say.

I’ve changed “Gifts, Home Decor & Workshops” to:

Creative Studio & Gifts

And I’ve added something that might make you wonder…

Why a pigeon? 🐦

Well… let me tell you.

I grew up in Albany Park, Chicago, and some of my most vivid childhood memories are walking those busy Chicago streets with my backpack on my way to school.

And yes… there were pigeons EVERYWHERE.

We called them “flying rats.” 😂

But for some reason, I loved them.

While everyone else seemed to think they were gross, I saw something different. They weren’t bothering anyone. They were just out there every day, surviving. Looking for food. Finding their way through the chaos.

And honestly?

I understood them.

I grew up in a one-bedroom apartment with my parents and my 2 sisters. Life wasn’t always easy, and like those pigeons, we were figuring things out, making the most of what we had and learning how to survive.

But growing up in Albany Park gave me so much more than that.

It gave me culture.

It gave me incredible food, different languages, different traditions, different people and different ways of seeing the world.

It taught me that there’s beauty in things that don’t all look the same.

And I think that’s a huge part of who I am today.

So when people ask me where my eclectic style comes from…

You can thank Chicago. ❤️

I want to bring a little bit of that Chicago spirit to Grayslake.

A real sense of community.

A love for people from all backgrounds.

Funky.

Eclectic.

Unexpected.

Unique.

Handmade.

And a place where you can come in and find a little bit of something for everyone.

So yes…

The pigeon is staying. 🐦😂

It might seem like a funny little detail to some people, but now you know why it’s close to my heart.

It’s a little piece of Chicago that I carried with me.

And it’s going to be a little piece of a little bit of me.

Hi 👋 I miss you all so much! So much has happened since closing the shop. I was offered a business proposal that I couldn’t refuse. Not only do I get to keep my tiny shop and continue doing my events and workshops, I won’t have to work the shop everyday and can still take care of my family. I had so many people show up during my last days that I was open. Telling me that this was just a shift and something better was coming. When one door closes another opens. A little bit of me will be coming to Downtown Grayslake in October.

In the meantime my business partner and I are searching for unique vendors. Please see ad and I’ll see you all soon. Love you all!!!

Calling All Local Makers, Artists & Small Businesses!

Something special is coming to downtown Grayslake “The mini market” in October and we’re looking for unique, handmade, and creative businesses to help bring something special to our community.

Vendor Details

• 3-month minimum commitment
• Option to renew after your initial 3 months
• $65–$75/month, depending on space
• Only 5% commission to cover credit card processing and checkout supplies
• Each vendor space will be approximately 36” wide x 6’ tall

We’re looking for unique, handmade, artistic, vintage, and creative products that customers won’t find just anywhere.

For anyone who didn’t show up to my last pop up- you snoozed on these beautiful drawn portraits! 😏 lucky for you I’ll be doing it again at the Grayslake author fest 7/18 from 12-2pm only.

This is the last week A little bit of me will be open to the public. 7/15-7/17. I still have some goodies to sell and ceramics to paint. Stop by between 12-6 on those days. Thank you to everyone who has helped me clear out the shop

Did I tell you I’ll be drawing terrible portraits of guests for $5 this Sunday? I’m not joking 🤣 and I am HORRIBLE at it.

This Sunday from 2-6 I promise you will find something beautiful for yourself or a loved one. While doing so, you’ll be supporting amazing artists. 💜

Friendly reminder- I’ll be open today 7/10 from 12-6. Tomorrow Saturday 7/11 I’ll be open by APPOINTMENT ONLY.
