Kevin McCann School of Music is a unique teaching environment where the student is taught the love of the instrument along with the theory.

Kevin McCann has been in touch with the art of music since the day he was born. From the time he was in middle school, Kevin found himself learning an array of instruments, specifically focusing on the guitar, but not limiting to the piano, bass, and even drums. At a young age, aside from playing in bands, Kevin would find himself at St. Peter & Paul's church on Rt. 46 playing the piano when servi

ce was not in session. He knew that music was more than just an art for the ears - he knew it was his entire being. Eventually, Kevin became the musical director at St. Peter & Paul's church, turning the typical Roman Catholic mass into an upbeat yet traditional musical experience for all to enjoy. Not only did his expertise help create a unique musical vibe every service, but it helped grow and maintain the community of St. Peter & Paul's consistent parishioners. While always teaching and arranging an array of pieces for the church with his Praise Group, Kevin has never been limited from his second passion, which is teaching the art. This is when he set off to chase his dream of building the greatest musical lesson studio in the Great Meadows region, which is The Kevin McCann School of Music. Instructor Zach Russack met Kevin McCann at the age of 14, as one of Kevin's first Praise Group members. Zach started playing the guitar at the age of 13, and wanted to expand his musical ability while also playing in front of an audience. From taking lessons at The School of Rock and gigging in local groups, Zach understood that music was going be his life, no matter what sect. Zach studied 4 years at The University of New Haven and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music & Sound Recording, with the strive to become a staff recording / mix engineer at a studio. Upon finishing school, Kevin contacted Zach with the opportunity to become a primary instructor at his new school, bringing Zach the opportunity to teach students guitar, bass, voice, and classical music theory. Along with instructing at The Kevin McCann School of Music, Zach currently works as a live monitor engineer at The Newton Theatre, and continues to gig around the area as a freelance audio engineer, solo singer / songwriter, and as a freelance rhythm / lead guitarist.
