A lighter is great for the basics, but a torch is built for control.

A torch gives you a hotter, more focused flame, which means quicker heating and less sitting there fighting with a tiny flame. It’s also easier to aim exactly where you need heat, so you're not wasting time or fuel.

Regular lighters can struggle with wind, awkward angles, and longer heat times. A torch is steadier, stronger, and feels way more dialed in once you're using it.
