Book Stop

We are here now, open and already chatting about books and selling books. We will be trading our book selling hat in early today for our hosting hat. Come down and party with us at the Bart Starr Plaza Tailgate Party this afternoon, we’re pretty entertaining, plus there is food and drinks and prizes. We also raise money all season long for our amazing friends at the DAV. It’s a great organization with wonderful people.

📚📚Today, September 6th is National Read a Book Day. 📚📚

I’m really leaning in by starting my 70th book of the year. I’m finally going to read Throne of Glass, maybe I’ll even like it. 🗡️🧚‍♂️

We will be closed on Monday for Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend!

If you’ve stopped at the store recently you might have noticed some new shelves. We’re slowly going to be replacing the shelves in store to accommodate larger books. If you are interested in purchasing some (or just one) of the old shelves, please reach out and let me know. They are pretty handy as bookcases (obviously) but I have a couple in my garage and they are very versatile.

I definitely feel like I didn’t get enough time with my kids this summer so I’m going to do just that. Thanks for understanding! See y’all on Tuesday! 💚💚

Earlier this week we were able to have the opportunity to participate in Purple Angel Training. It was a lovely and informative experience and everyone should look into participating! 💚

Wahoo!!!!! HUGE thank you Bookshop for becoming more dementia friendly through our Purple Angel training 💜 Making Brown County a more welcoming place for everyone, one training at a time. 📚

📚🚂 Yesterday we had a couple of customers come in and purchase children’s books in honor of Dolly Parton to donate to local children in the area. These, along with our collection of Imagination Library that we set aside for donation when they come in, will find new homes in the hands of some readers that will benefit from such a lovely and thoughtful gift. 🚂📚

Dolly Parton was a shining example of how someone can be successful, wildly generous and well loved by all. Through the Imagination Library, she has put books into the hands of millions of children and helped make reading a joyful part of growing up. To me, Dolly’s greatest gift is not simply providing jobs and opportunities to thousands of people but giving away books to children and giving them a chance for a successful future. The world is a little dimmer today.

📚📚The New York Times recently published their 50 Best Thrillers of the 21st Century. I’ve conveniently moved them onto this table for y’all. There are even fancy printouts for you to take home. 📝📝

I love that Tana French scored the most entries with four titles. She is one of my favorite authors. 📚💚

Any titles on here that you just absolutely love or completely disagree with??

These are first come first serve.
