We fished in the rain at Soldier Creek on Saturday and were rewarded with some fast action, big kokes (one over 20”) and a huge rainbow (that was released 😊)!

Fishing the surface early was key. We fished Barracuda and Cyclops Blades with no weight and 150’ of line. These blades are great for surface fishing as they’ll stay under the water without weight, unlike most dodgers. Kokanee Teasers in Cotton Candy, Strawberry Lemonade and Passion Fruit were our best lures.

Late morning the kokes moved down to 30’ and Mighty Minnows in Cotton Candy with Purple Moon Jelly Barracuda was the top producer.

Here are a couple of tips for anyone fishing Strawberry:

1) Start EARLY!! The early bite has been fantastic!

2) I know of at least three boats that limited out by 8:30 AM today that were all fishing with the Pink Moon Jelly Glow Cyclops Blade!
