Broke away from chasing big bulls to go and finish the kokanee season with a bang! An unbelievable kokanee season for us. Cannot wait to see what next year has to offer.

We decided to spend my birthday weekend fishing at Flaming Gorge and day one was a ton of fun. I was able to spend time with family, relax in the beautiful scenery and found a few nice kokanee.

We caught kokes from 30-75’ today. Here were the hot setups:

⭐️ Wonderbread Moon Jelly Glow Cyclops and Wonderbread Mighty Minnow

⭐️ UV Sunglow Coho Dodger (not yet released) and Blue Mighty Minnow

⭐️ Gold Coho Blade and Tangerine Super Minnow, which has been my number one setup for the past month wherever I’ve fished!

These guys are brand new to Kokanee fishing and fish without downriggers! 🤯

You definitely wouldn’t know it by these pictures from their trip today at Strawberry Reservoir. Using snap weights and the right Nebo combinations, they had an EPIC trip!

Kokanee fishing is definitely a grind this time of year, but man, these big males are fun to catch! Every koke we caught this weekend except for one was on the same setup: Gold Coho and Tangerine Super Minnow
