Meet Anthony, the newest member of the Desert Spokes team! 🚴

Anthony is a high school student with a passion for automotive mechanics. While he's new to the cycling world, he's eager to learn and excited to be part of the shop.

You'll see him covering Saturdays and helping out throughout the week.

With Anthony on board, we're making a few small changes to our Saturday routine:

• Saturday hours remain 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
• Saturdays will be focused on bike pick-ups, drop-offs, and sales.
• If you order a bike or special-order accessories on Saturday, one of us will follow up the next business day to confirm all the details.
• We will no longer be performing walk-in repairs on Saturdays. You're still welcome to drop off your bike for service, and we'll get it checked in and scheduled.

I realize most of y'all here are aware of the shop hours but we've had quite a few folks stopping by on Sundays lately, so we wanted to post a quick reminder:

Desert Spokes Bike Shop is always CLOSED on Sundays.

If you need to drop off or pick up a bike outside normal business hours, just send us a message and we'll do our best to work something out.

In addition, you may be seeing a new face around the shop as I have brought on a apprentice to help on Saturdays and some off hours. More on this to follow 🤙

PART-TIME BICYCLE SHOP HELPER NEEDED

I'm looking for a dependable part-time team member to assist with bicycle assembly, repairs, shop organization, inventory, and general shop duties.

REQUIREMENTS: • Must already have an interest in bicycles and cycling • Mechanical aptitude preferred • Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented • Able to work independently • Must be willing to work at least one Saturday per month

SCHEDULE: • Flexible part-time hours • Approximately 6–10 hours per week to start • Some after-hours work available • Opportunity for additional hours as the shop grows

IDEAL FOR: • Cycling enthusiasts • Students • Someone looking for supplemental income • A rider who enjoys being around bikes and the cycling community

If the shop’s been a little quiet on social media lately… that’s usually a good sign 😅
Means we’ve been busy wrenching, building, planning, and working on some new things behind the scenes.

We’re excited to officially announce new partnerships with:

We’ll be periodically rotating inventory from these brands through the shop, so you’ll start seeing different bikes and e-bikes on the floor over time.
