This week, we’re getting to know Vendor 5470 — The Hunt for Yesterday! 🔎

So, who’s behind the booth?

👋 Tell us a little about yourself:
I’m happily retired, living a simple life, traveling often with my fiancé, and always looking for antiques and new places to explore. I treasure a simple life and thank God daily for it. ❤️

🕰️ How long have you been collecting antiques?
Pretty much most of my life! My first antique was an old mirror I bought at an estate sale in Limestone, TN, with my dad when I was just 10 or 12 years old. And yes, I still have that mirror today!

🏺 What can you find in my booth?
Fenton, 1800s stoneware, crocks and jugs, primitive tools, Blue Ridge pottery, wooden bowls, firkins, kitchenware, Pyrex, lunch boxes, fishing reels, minnow buckets, toys, Blue Ball jars, fairy lamps, oil lamps, Aladdin lamps, collectible cartoon glasses and plenty more!

❤️ Favorite piece I’ve ever found?
That very first mirror from my dad, along with a gold Betsy jug.

🏺 If I could collect only one thing forever:
1800s stoneware and redware.

👀 Something you shouldn’t overlook in my booth:
The “hard to find” Fenton!

🔎 What do I love most about being a Back Porch vendor?
Getting to travel, pick and hunt. Because, as I say... “The hunt is so fun!”

💡 My best advice for a new collector:
“Never pass up what you instantly are attracted to. You will later regret it.”
