December is here, and we're down to the wire! We REALLY need you this month if we're going to be here in January! There is still time to get those Christmas cards mailed - boxed and individual cards in stock! Book ordering deadline for Christmas delivery is December 15th! We will be open SUNDAYS from noon until 4pm now until Christmas (12/8, 12/15, and 12/22). Use us to order your books for Christmas and Hanukkah, or if you're feeling the holiday spirit and want to make a donation through GoFundMe, the link is still at the top of the page (less than 7% of goal reached so far)! Now that Halloween has passed, we are officially into the Holiday Shopping Season here at World Eye Bookshop! 2025 calendars and holiday cards will be filling in this month (many are already here!), as well as puzzles, toys, etc.

Every day since Covid took away 70% of the business in 2020 has been a challenge, but this year especially. The Town of Greenfield effectively shutting down Main Street for much of the last 3 months for water main and gas work has certainly not helped. As a final reminder and appeal, we really need your support if we're going to continue into the future. I have previously stated the circumstances, both here and in the Recorder, so this is just an update/reminder of where we sit: If we are going to be here next year, we either need to recover some of the lost business by doing 150% better than last holiday season (this sounds like a big ask, but that would still only be the equivalent of 80% of a typical pre-Covid November-December), or we need to at least do no worse than last year AND see our GoFundMe goal reached (started in June, but currently at less than 7% of goal - link in "Featured" section above).

That's the situation. After 55 years, this holiday season can either be the end for us, or it can mark the time when people start rejecting (at least some) online shopping and returning to local traditional retail. It's in your hands.
