Happy Friday! The time of week where we all rejoice having 2 days of freedom ahead of us! So a little down the road they are cutting some big trees down and I wanted some of the wood so I dawned my cat burglar outfit, all black of course, and snuck over to start taking different sizes of wood stumps. I plan to make chargers and trivets and coasters and more so I need several sizes to make these things. If there would have been anyone within a mile of this yard I happily would have asked if I could take 5 or 6 chunks but not a sole was around so I grabbed them as fast as I could which really wasn't so fast because those chunks of wood are no joke let me tell you. I hightailed it to my car and tossed the wood in the trunk and got out of there before anyone stopped to question me. As I was lugging a rather large piece of wood to my car I noticed this little funky shaped piece of wood laying on the ground. I almost passed it up but just knew something could be made from it so I brought it home and sanded it really well. I then sealed it and added bolts as legs and now I have a little display piece that I love.

If you follow along on Instagram you know I'm completely into Black and White Stripes right now! I would say my obsession is alive and well. I'm sharing these simple spray painted Mason Jars today over on the blog that I think you will want to make. They make for great flower vases, Halloween treat holders etc. You can do them in any color combo that works for you but I love how they turned out in the black and white! Easy peasy!
