GETOUTDOORS WOMEN ON THE WATER (GO WOW) is the women's division of GETOUTDOORS, the largest retailer in the Southeast of kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, paddling gear, instruction, guided trips kayak fishing and cycling. GO WOW Mission Statement
Our mission at GETOUTDOORS WOMEN ON THE WATER is to offer women an encouraging, supportive environment to learn how to kayak on flat water and beyond. GO WOW'S GOALS
Our goals are to give women an opportunity to UNPLUG but RECHARGE through kayaking and kayak camping skills while immersing them in nature and teaching them to be more aware of the natural world surrounding them. We encourage women to disengage and detox from our increasingly connected but disconnected society, to recharge the batteries of their body, mind and spirit. We strive to be a teaching mechanism, to teach women safety first, while they discover the joys of nature and gain the independence to get outdoors on their own and experience nature in an empowered way. We give women the opportunity to learn basic survival skills and to learn how be more comfortable in nature and eventually in wilderness areas if they so desire. We aim to empower women through kayaking to embrace the healing, rejuvenating effects that nature brings us when we allow it and when we learn how to access those gifts. We like to think of our programming as nature rehab for the overcommitted, overstressed and overstimulated. Stay tuned for more exciting programming from GO WOW! *All GO WOW classes are taught by ACA Certified Instructors.
**GO WOW specific classes range from $35-$60. Most day trips are $50- $75 and include all equipment, transportation, may include lunch, overnight trips are priced specific to the trip. Price includes boat, pfd, paddle, instruction, lake location entry. Location to be announced closer to date of class. (please check back periodically, subject to change closer to beginning of paddling season)
