First day of fall today! Change is coming, time to slow down. This delicious pork loin has been smoking with DSR for only three hours on a pellet grill, and is juicy and tender. Add a side of sour dough and sugar snap peas, perfection!

The fireworks are all finished, the burgers and dogs eaten. Growing up in a military family that dates back to the Revolutionary War, and with a nephew who is currently active US Navy, I can’t help but continue to have hope for what America can be. Ronald Reagan said, “All great change in America begins at the dinner table.” Let’s break bread together, let’s share ideas, let’s love one another and good food. The plate of sliced heirloom tomatoes are in honor of my dad, Chief Petty Officer First Class US Navy, who always requested sliced tomatoes at the dinner table.
