Been slacking about taking and posting pictures lately. Little job I finished up today, M&P 2.0 9mm that I ported the barrel and milled the slide. Then refinished the slide in FDE and the Barrel in Microslick. All in all I think it turned out pretty good.

More pictures of the finished job. Looks amazing compared to when it came in. A lot of hours went into the polishing on this rifle. Probably a total of at least 30 hours if not more into getting it polished out and ready for bluing. ******er

Most recent build I finished up couple weeks ago. Finally got her to the range to see how she was going to shoot and boy she did not disappoint. With 160 gr. Nosler Accubonds she put 11 consecutive rounds dead center bullseye that a penny will pretty much cover. Definitely impressed with the way she turned out. Build is as follows, Blue printed Re*****on 700 action, spiral fluted bolt, with skeletonized bolt handle. Barrel is a SS Bartlein 8 twist finished at 26" and chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag. 11° target crown and threaded 5/8×24 with a Precision Armament Hypertap muzzle brake installed. I removed the original bedding because it looked terrible. I made new pillars contoured to the receiver and redid the bedding with marine tex. Trigger is a Jewell and she is topped with a Swarovski x5i 5-25 held in place by Nightforce rings. *****on *****on700

Just want to give everyone an update on Foothills Gun Shop. I am at this point temporarily closed for all new incoming work. I am going in for a shoulder reconstruction and will be out of commission for 6-8 months depending on how physical therapy goes until I am back up and going. I will still be open and available for transfers if needed. I greatly appreciate all of your continued support and hope you all have a great day.

Some custom work I've done on a Savage 10 MLii. Started out earlier fitting it with a muzzle brake and making a heavier duty ram rod. Then he wanted another stock to replace the original plastic stock it had on it. I got him a Bell and Carlson stock which had the closest hole spacing for the action screws. I then machine a filler block for the blind mag well as it was not needed for the muzzle loader. I also machined aluminum escutcheons and pillars in order to bed the receiver into the stock. The rear action screw was not long enough to go completely through the new stock and act as the bolt stop. While thinking of where to get a longer screw I had the thought that if I left it as is you would have to break the rear action screw loose, in turn losing your zero, to remove the bolt. So I compensated for that by drilling and tapping the receiver for a third action screw which I used the rear factory action screw. I then machined a new bolt stop screw with a knurled end that could be finger tight. He can now loosen the bolt stop screw remove his bolt without loosing his zero.

This one was a head scratcher. Customer went to unload and the round some how flipped around and went into the chamber backwards perfectly straight and got stuck. Wasn't to bad getting it out but still slightly nerve racking.
