Steve's Nursery Since 1977 we have provided customers with top quality trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and vegetables. We are a Submatic Drip Irrigation dealer.

Since 1977, Steve's Nursery has provided customers with top quality trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs, as well as seeds, organic fertilizers, soil conditioners, all natural control for all your garden needs(insects, diseases) and mulches. We have Master Certified and knowledgeable employees that are here to help. We grow many of the shrubs we sell, which helps keep prices down and quality up. From nearby growers, we regularly receive quality bedding flowers, vegetables, herbs, perennials, flowering shrubs and container grown trees. December through February we sell bare-root fruit trees and pecan trees, which are handled the old fashion way by putting them in large bins of sawdust to keep the roots from drying out. You choose your tree and we will prune and bag them for your trip home. We also sell knockout roses and have a large selection of Crape Myrtle trees. We are located five miles south of IH-30, across from the Cash Water Tower.

Why grow it?

The Desert Globemallow has bowl-shaped, hollyhock-like blooms in vibrant apricot-orange. It grows 2 to 4 feet tall and wide. Has fuzzy, whitish-green or silvery-grey leaves with a soft texture. Thrives in full sun, including harsh reflected heat. Low water needs; highly drought-adapted once established. Avoid heavy, wet soils. Adaptable to sand, clay, loam, or rocky alkaline soils with good drainage.

The Monarchs are fluttering through Northeast Texas again, and our nursery is one of their favorite pit stops. These little orange travelers are fueling up for their long journey south — and they’re needing every bloom packed with nectar right now because it has been SOOO HOT and SOOO DRY that our pastures are depleted of many wild flowers that they normally get nectar from! SOOO this is the perfect time to refresh your pollinator garden and give these beauties a place to rest and recharge.
Some of their favorites to stop and refuel at that we have in stock are:
Texas Lantana, Mealycup Sage, Coneflower, Gregg's Mist Flower, Turks cap, Butterfly w**d (native orange), Buddleia (Butterfly bush), Salvia Greggii, Vitex, Celosia, and Zinnias! (Just to name a few!)
