Things we are ditching this summer as moms in our 40s:

Coverups that don’t actually fit our lifestyle. If I can’t throw it on over a wet bathing suit while carrying snacks, towels, a Stanley, and someone’s abandoned flip flops… it’s not coming.

Outfits that require too much thought. If it needs special underwear, steaming, shapewear, or a full “moment” to pull off, respectfully… no. We are entering the era of easy. Matching sets, comfy dresses, and anything that works with sandals.

Forgetting a second layer. Because somehow it’s 82 degrees at noon and 58 degrees by dinner on the New England coast. We’ve learned. The sweatshirt is coming everywhere.

Staying up past 9pm for no reason. Self explained.
