Since 1976, Beam & Barre has specialized in expert pointe shoe fittings, thoughtfully curated dancewear, and exceptional service. Beam & Barre carries dance and gymnastics apparel as well as footwear for all styles of dance including over 80 styles of pointe shoes. Costumes and any accessory a dancer might need are also available. You will find the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable and we look forward to fulfilling all of your dancewear needs!

POV: Pointe shoe manufacturers heading into Nutcracker season… 🫠🩰

If you’ve been waiting to stock up on your favorite pointe shoes, now might be the time 👀

We’ve been notified of several upcoming pointe shoe price increases, including:

🩰 R-Class — September 15
Prices increasing up to $150

🩰 Suffolk — October 1
Prices increasing up to $170

And these aren’t the only changes coming…

Nutcracker season is one of the busiest times of the year for pointe shoes, so if you know you’ll be needing shoes this fall, we recommend planning ahead and getting fitted early!

We’ll keep you posted as we receive more information on additional manufacturers and price changes.

Please say no!! When your pointe shoes are truly dead, they’re no longer providing the support they were designed to give 😬

Continuing to dance in dead shoes can lead to:
• Less support and stability
• Poorer alignment
• Increased strain on your feet and ankles
• A higher risk of injury

It can be tempting to squeeze “just one more class” out of them, but your body will thank you for knowing when it’s time for a new pair!
