Looking for an Experienced LED Sign Technician or Electrician

We’re looking for someone with experience in LED commercial signs to diagnose and repair our storefront sign.

Unfortunately, we’ve already spent several thousand dollars with an electrical company trying to resolve this issue, but the problem still hasn’t been fixed.

Background:

Our sign is controlled by two LED drivers:

* One driver powers the first six letters.
* The second driver powers the last six letters.

Here’s what has happened so far:

* One of the original drivers failed.
* The electrician replaced it with what they described as a “stronger” driver.
* That same evening, we went to the store at night to check the sign out. The section of the sign connected to the new driver was noticeably dim.
* We immediately notified the company.
The electrician returned and advised that the LEDs themselves must be burned out.
* Later that night, after the electrician left, the owner was at kohls and drove by the store and saw that the entire sign stopped working completely.
We immediately notified them.
* The electrician returned and claimed one of our employees had somehow climbed a 20-foot ladder into the ceiling after he left and turned off a switch, then charged us an additional $300 to turn it back on. After expressing some disappointment he offered us a $50 discount and still charged $250.
*The sign is back to the “Dim” state and that’s where we are currently at.

Since then, we’ve had two other electricians inspect the installation. They advised that:

* There is no light switch in the area as previously claimed.
* Multiple wires inside the sign are disconnected.
* Approximately 75% of those disconnected wires do not even have wire nuts or caps installed.
* If the original electrician installed a higher driver than the sign could handle then he accidentally blew the LED’s. Higher wattage/voltage is not always better with electricity.

The second and third electrician do not specialize in LED signs, so we’re looking for someone who does.

If you have experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial LED channel letter signs, or can recommend someone reputable, we’d greatly appreciate it.
