Thanks to everyone who participated in this year's giveaway! I posted the winner separately but I'll also mention it here. The lucky number was 78 and it was Ron Hrstka so congratulations to Ron! I'll drop him a message and get that shipped to him as soon as possible

2021 Hammer Giveaway!

This is a 2 lb cross peen with a decidedly old school look so for lack of a better name these will be called "old school" patterns in the future. The peen itself is about 1/2" and dressed fairly flat. The hammer itself is about 1-1/2" square and 4-1/2" long and is center balanced. It also happens to be my 7001st hammer and is stamped as such on the side.

The details.....this giveaway starts as soon as it's posted (September 26, 2021) and will run until 8:00 PM Central time a week from today which is Sunday October 3rd 2021. Giveaway means just that, there's no cost to enter and I'll pick up the shipping even if the winner isn't here in the USA. I'll be using a random number generator to pick the winner and once I have a shipping address the hammer will be on its way. When closing time hits on the 3rd I'll comment on this post that things have closed and I'll double check all people have been assigned numbers. Don't expect a winning announcement at 8:01 that night but It should be fairly soon after the contest closes.

To enter you must do three things exactly as described. When I have the winning number I'll be verifying that all three parameters have been met before I announce a name. If they haven't been met I'll draw a second number. Entering a second time under a business page profile is allowed but you must make sure you meet all three conditions using the business page profile the same as you would a personal page profile.

1) You need to comment on this post. But by "this post" I mean the original post on the Facebook business page "Jackpine Forge" and not a share of this post on another page. A simple "I'm in" is more then enough and I will assign a number to each comment. I'll do my best to assign numbers quickly but expect delays as I don't look at my phone while forging....or sleeping. In fact it might be best for me to just pick a single time each day to sit down and assign numbers. I'll probably just do them each night after I walk my dogs so the first batch will be tomorrow night around this time.

2) Like this post. Again meaning this original post on Jackpine Forge, not one someone shared (but feel free to like those as well). I will pin this post to the top of the Jackpine Forge page until after the contest ends so you should have no trouble finding it.

3) Share this original post on your page. I'm not requiring anyone to like the business page to enter but you do need to share this post.

The last time I did one of these FB gave me some issues as far as the order comments came in but hopefully everything will go smoothly and as I said I'll be double checking that nobody has been missed. I'll also mention the give away in my daily posts......last time I think there were less then 400 names in the hat.

Still a fair bit of glare, may have to wait until evening to to get the best light.
