Fall Equinox Blessings from Gaia’s Workshop!
Fall Equinox is the second of three harvest festivals on the Wiccan Wheel of the Year. The balance between night and day are equal now; soon we will be descending into darkness. The vegetables, fruit and berries are ripe and ready for harvest. Eating seasonal foods and being grateful for the abundance of the harvest are common themes; so also is working with balance and preparation for the dark of the year.
In Greek mythology, this is the time that the maiden Kore is taken to the underworld by Hades, becoming Persephone. Her mother, Demeter, is so distraught at her loss that she freezes the world. Hecate goes in search of her, but she has eaten food of the underworld (six seeds from a pomegranate) and must stay in the underworld six months of the year, where she becomes the wife of Hades and Queen of the Underworld. When she finally returns at Spring Equinox, the world comes alive again.
Starting October 18th, we will be open 11:00 – 6:00 seven days a week.
We will be closed December 31st – January 4th for inventory.

Consigner Spotlight
Hi, my name is Kayla, and I’m the artist behind Kayla Mae artistry.
I’ve always had a love for art ever since I was a child, the spooky and dark like a second home to me. As an oddball myself, creepy, horror and dark just made sense. I started drawing my little ghosts at the beginning of the pandemic, and since then it has branched into stickers, prints, and little paintings that you may have seen at Gaia’s.
Whenever I’m not drawing, you can either find me with my nose in a book or lost in a forest looking for my next bout of inspiration. I have some new ideas coming this fall and winter, and I can’t wait for you all to see them. Come to Gaia’s and follow my Instagram , much love.
With the times what they are, it’s going to be critical for our survival to build our customer base. We need some help making sure that happens. If you love our shop like we do, please tell your friends about us or bring them in. If you have social media and you buy something cool from us, please tag us in your post (social media links below), and follow us on whichever social media you like. If you have friends out of town, please share our website & Etsy shop. And of course, we have new things daily, so come and shop when you can!
