Fun fact: Boiling and bleaching bones is a quick easy way to degrease and whiten bones...🚨THE WRONG WAY🚨. Not only does this out dated method cause damage to the bones structural integrity and natural collagen proteins holding the bone matrix together, it traps grease instead of removing it and makes bones brittle.

The proper method takes months. Quick work ain't good work. 👌🤘

Every insect has it's role to play in the ecosystem 🤘

Dermestid beetles feed on organic materials like hair, fur, feathers, and other dried animal products. This is why they have such an important role as decomposers in nature. They are even used in museums to clean skeletons 🖤

Fun fact: Boiling and bleaching bones actually cause damage to bones causing them to be brittle. 🙅‍♀️ Avoid sellers that use that out dated technique.

Khal came into our care this evening. This deeply loved boy lived a long, beautiful life. His human brought him home as a puppy, and together they shared countless memories. They moved across different states, experienced life's many changes, and grew alongside one another in so many ways.

We are truly honored to care for such a beautiful soul, preserving his bones and celebrating his life in such a unique and meaningful way.
