25 YEARS. 🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET.

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001 — a day that forever changed our nation.

On that terrible morning, our great nation was attacked by terrorists. Thousands of innocent people never made it home to their families. Fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends, coworkers, police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and ordinary Americans were taken from us.

Among them were 343 firefighters from the FDNY who made the ultimate sacrifice.

They didn’t run away.

They ran toward the danger.

They climbed the stairs of those towers knowing the unimaginable risks, because that’s what firefighters do. They went in to rescue strangers, to help those who couldn’t help themselves, and to fulfill a promise that every firefighter understands:

When everyone else is running out, we run in.

September 11th reminds us that behind every number was a person. 343 wasn’t just a number. It was 343 lives, 343 families, 343 stories, and countless brothers and sisters who lost someone they loved.

We also remember the thousands of civilians who lost their lives, the law enforcement officers and EMS professionals who gave everything they had, and the countless first responders and survivors who have carried the physical and emotional scars of that day for 25 years.

As firefighters, we understand the meaning of brotherhood, sacrifice, courage, and service. We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us, and we have a responsibility to keep their memory alive.

Today, we remember.

Today, we honor.

Today, we mourn.

And today, we remind the generations who weren’t alive to witness that day:

We will never forget.

🇺🇸 Remember the fallen.
Honor the survivors.
Support our first responders.
Cherish our freedom.

25 years later… 343 brothers and sisters are still answering the call in our hearts.
