Roots & River Market

09/22/2026

Hello everyone! I have been a little quiet on social media lately and, unfortunately, I’m writing with an update I had hoped I wouldn’t have to share.

Due to a family health situation, I have decided to make the very hard decision to cancel this fall’s market. This decision was not made lightly. I know firsthand the time and effort that goes into prepping for these events, the financial support they can provide our vendors, and how much our amazing shoppers look forward to our event all year.

I am extremely sorry for this cancellation. Right now, I need to focus my time on being a support for my family so we can come back strong next year. I simply do not see a way to execute our event at the high standard we prefer while also being the support system my family needs right now.

Details regarding the Spring 2027 The Roots Market and Fall 2027 Roots & River Market are still to be determined. Thank you for your understanding, kindness, and continued support over the years!

That’s a wrap on our first event in Grinnell!

I’ve taken a few days to recover and reflect on last weekend! It was a whirlwind! Bad weather rolled through right at vendor move in on Friday but thankfully everyone stayed safe and we managed to have decent weather for the rest of the weekend.

As always, I need to say a huge thank you to the vendors that continue to trust us to host events and join us along the way, they simply wouldn’t be possible without them!

Our shoppers, THANK YOU! You all showed up with such great support and excitement! With your help, we are able to make a $500 donation to Mason’s Light House!

And lastly our friends and family….. your endless support does not go unnoticed! Every big and small task helps us bring these events to life! Thank you!

We can’t wait to keep growing and bringing unique, curated shopping experiences to Grinnell!

Catch us next in Marengo on October 23-24!
