Meet Laura Daluga, AIFD, a fourth-generation florist whose connection to flowers began at an early age in her parents’ flower shop.
Today, Laura brings her creativity to a wide range of floral work, from traditional arrangements to botanical sculptures, floral fashion, and immersive installations. Her work showcases the many ways flowers can be incorporated into art and design.
Beyond her own creative work, Laura shares her knowledge with aspiring floral designers and fellow professionals, helping others explore new techniques and possibilities within the industry.
Join us for the Sue Abbott Lecture Series: Where Structure Meets Stem on Tuesday, October 13, from 7–8 p.m. at the Fred M. Alger Center Community Room at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms.
Laura will demonstrate her artistic floral designs, exploring the balance between architectural form and the natural movement of late-season blooms.
Admission is free for Grosse Pointe Garden Center members and $10 for non-members. Advance registration is required by October 12. We hope to see you there!
