We’re grateful to the St. Barnabas Thrift Shop for choosing Family Care Network as one of the local organizations supported through its monthly outreach giving. 💛

Their Thrift Shop turns donated goods into resources for the community—and a portion of those proceeds comes back around to support local organizations doing work right here in our community.

This grant will go directly toward supporting youth and families participating in Family Care Network programs, helping our teams respond to the practical needs that arise along the way.

Thank you to the volunteers, donors, shoppers, and everyone at St. Barnabas who helps make that circle of giving possible. We’re honored to be part of it.

St. Barnabas' August donation is awarded to Headstart Oceano. https://capslo.org/

The Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo (CAPSLO) operates the Head Start Programs in San Luis Obispo County. Head Start is a comprehensive child development program that operates on the principle that the first five years of a child’s life are the most crucial in the learning process. Head Start realizes that parents are the first teachers of their children, and for that reason encourages the parents and families to be involved with the program.

Originating in 1964, Head Start has proven to be a successful social program. Funded by the federal government, the program is designed to support low-income families and children with disabilities. Head Start focuses on early childhood health development, family and community partnerships and program governance. These areas include Education, Health, Nutrition, Mental Health, Social Services, Parent Involvement, and Disabilities. The areas are interconnected to provide quality services to all children and families in Head Start.

$3K July donation goes to Central Coast Funds for Children.

The mission of CCFC is to raise funds to help provide a hopeful pathway for children in need in San Luis Obispo County. In 2025, we contributed to 39 local organizations totaling $112,000. We are proud to say this is our 30th anniversary and over the course of those twenty-seven years, we have donated $2,286,665.

Just WOW! We love supporting hard-working, community-centric organizations such as this.
