Dear Friends…You may have noticed that 2020 has been a pivotal year on a global scale. We know too many local book lovers have been personally impacted. Our store is no different. On March 18th, we locked our brick and mortar doors. While we hoped to re-open sooner than later, we also had strong suspicions that Covid would not be contained well enough for us to confidently provide a safe community space in the foreseeable future. Since, we have been consumed with the changing responsibilities that have arisen due to the global pandemic. Due to a lack of childcare and the loss of our staff, we have acquired a number of unreturned messages, for which we deeply apologize.
For now, we are packing and organizing our inventory in preparation for a web-based relaunch. In the meantime, Bookshop.org/shop/TwiceToldBooks is the best way to support your neighborhood virtual bookstore. We will be updating our recommended titles there throughout the 2020 holiday season. We have more than a few ideas for how we can rebuild in a model that works for these times, so keep an eye on Twice Told Books as we find our footing moving into an uncertain future.
