Notice the multiple tight buds on each stem that will slowly open in the vase. Deadhead the spent blooms to enjoy them throughout the week. Cut the stems at different lengths to create an arrangement with light movement. You can also add your own garden flowers to add a different texture

A couple of fun facts for today
Did you know that I refresh the flower stand at Cilantro every couple days?
Dirty water decrease vase life and will smell bad too! It’s a breeding ground for bacteria and mold.

A question I get is “why are the sunflowers not fully open in the bouquets?”
I cut them at this stage so that you get the optimal vase time. I also make sure to include bouquets with the sunflowers fully open, for those who want instant gratification.

Did you know most flowers that you purchase are already a week old? From travel to processing, these gals already lived a life before entering your home.
A lot of local florists have started buying local. Be sure to ask where your flowers came from! We can touch on the amount of chemical residues that you will find on a standard bouquet you purchase next time 😐
